Conceived by Will Epstein and performed in collaboration with Kenny Wollesen and his group, this piece was created as a ritualized induction and celebration of the winter solstice, amidst Arlene Shechet’s installation Full Steam Ahead. The performers communicated with each other from varying distances in the park, playing through and blending with sounds of the space. The musicians became part of the park while simultaneously transforming the familiar landscape into something other.
